July 23, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver Week 7 Update

Much has transpired over the past week! From stands to electronics to boxes, we're getting very close to pushing these screwdrivers out the door. 

In terms of accessories and packaging, we've cold casted aluminum, "shark damaged" stands to go along with all our screwdrivers. We're happy with the metal, slightly damaged looking finish we've achieved. On the box front, we've laser etched all 11 boxes, and should wrap up the staining process today!

Lastly, InquisitorProps has made some final tweaks to the electronics design to make battery replacements easier and less prone to failure. He should wrap up on installing the electronics on all the screwdrivers today. 

Once Inquisitor wraps up his work on the electronics, we'll make the finishing touches to each piece and get them shipped out to customers. Be on the lookout for an email confirming your delivery address and if you want to sign for your package!

July 16, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver Week 6 Update

Unfortunately, the delay of the handle grips has continued, so we printed some PETG grips ourselves. InquisitorProps is now starting to work on the electronics. After he’s done, we’ll stitch on the leather, complete our weathering work, and ship these out!

July 9, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver Week 5 Update

Great news! We’re just over over a month in (34 days) from listing these replicas for sale, and we now have almost all of the parts in hand! Unfortunately, due to an issue with customs, the handles that lie underneath the leather wraps are severely delayed. We’ve ordered a new set with expedited shipping as a result. As quoted on the sales page, we are still on track to get these delivered within two months from order date. 

Right now, we are doing a quality control review of the parts, checking all of the tolerances and making sure the screw threading is correct. By the weekend, we'll have all the parts shipped off to InquisitorProps to install electronics. We look forward to updating you again this time next week!

July 2, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver Week 4 Update

Unfortunately we only have a short–albeit positive–update this week. All of the parts required to assemble these screwdrivers have been shipped to us from our manufacturer. We expect to receive them by next Tuesday, July 8. 

As for a timeline moving forward, we start assembly and weathering of all screwdrivers next week. Inquisitor will also begin the installation of electronics. Our goal is to have this work completed by July 23. If all goes to plan, the screwdrivers will be shipped by August 4–two months from our original listing date, as we planned!

June 25, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver Week 3 Update

Our machinist has completed their machining inspection work, and will now be wrapping up their surface finishing for the perfect mirror polish on all copper parts. We expect this to be done within the next two days, with all parts packaged and posted to us by the end of this week.

As we wait for the parts from the machinists, we’ve completed the weathering on our resin components–the white handles and the green core sleeves. We’re really happy with how these turned out! 

While we continue to wait for the arrival of the metal parts, we’re going to start our work on the stands and packaging. We’ll update you all soon!

Screwdriver June 18, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver 2 Week Update

We are now two weeks into our initial listing of the Shark-Bitten Screwdrivers! At this time, remain on track to ship the replicas within 1-2 months, AND there currently remain some screwdrivers available in stock.  While the copper parts are currently being lathed or turned, we have completed the process of casting the resin cores and the white handles. We’re really happy with how these came out, despite our large pile of rejects. 

We’ve also pre-cut the leather pieces for the handles and will begin sewing them to the handles while we await the delivery of the metal parts. This is one of the most tedious parts of construction, and I personally can’t wait to be finished with it.

June 13, 2025 | Shark-Bitten Screwdriver 1 Week Update

We are excited to say that we have officially purchased all of the parts and materials needed for our run of 10 screwdrivers, but 6 screwdrivers remain available in stock! Our machinist has completed the CNC programming for all of the parts, and is moving on to blanking today. We expect machining work to be completed within the next two weeks.
